Memory Lane

Hitting that 10-year mark has prompted me to reflect on my entire career journey. I decided to pull out the boxes samples and copies I've collected over the years (with the help of my two favorite sidekicks) and set off down memory lane. It's really interesting to see how my design style and approach has changed over the past decade. All this reminiscing has given me a renewed sense of accomplishment, and I'm feeling inspired to continue this nostalgia trip in the form of a blog series.

My goal is to explore a “10 posts for 10 years” series of articles contemplating how shifts in graphic design have occurred over time, including my own style. I’ll discuss the challenges of setting yourself apart in a saturated field, particularly as a woman, while also sharing insights on the importance of taking risks and fearlessly embracing authenticity. Articles will offer practical advice on returning to the basics of design and share valuable tips that might inspire fellow designers. Along the way, we'll address crucial topics like nurturing the soul, avoiding burnout, handling rejection, and celebrating the successes that mark our creative endeavors. Thank you for being here for this journey of reflection and growth!

Pictured below is 10 years worth projects I've completed for School Mate (under curious inspection by my two cats, Lash and Max). To learn more about my work for School Mate or any other projects I've undertaken, please check them out here.
